When the time is right for replacing your furnace, we’re here to give you expert advice by helping you determine which heating system is right for your home.

Below are the most common types of heating systems:

Photo Nov 27, 3 33 02 PMSingle Speed Furnace — These systems only have a one heating output, continuously emanating high heat throughout your house. With a single speed furnace, hot air is dispensed in this manner because your furnace is operating at full capacity all the time. Compared to new technology, these systems are wildly inefficient and dated, and are not the best option for your home. If your home still has one of these systems, consider making the switch to a modern system to save you money on your heating bills this winter.

Two Speed Furnace — Think of the two speed furnace as your a strong cup of coffee when you need it most. This system operates at a fraction of your furnace’s capacity, using the first stage of the furnace in moderate temperature ranges. Then the second stage boosts your furnace’s power when the it gets extremely cold. Compared to a single stage furnace, a two stage furnace is a no-brainer. It’s also better on the environment by using less energy because it’s not operating at full capacity, thus your residence emanates less greenhouse gases. Plus, your blower isn’t running as much, making your system quieter.

Zoned Systems — Give your house modern technology incarnated with a zoned comfort system. The premise of a zone comfort system gives you complete control over which rooms in your house receive the most heat at any give time during your day. Say your living room doubles at your home office, and you work from the couch while your spouse heads to the office and the kids to school. There is no reason to push heat to upstairs bedrooms if no one’s occupying the space, right? Well, with zoned (also called variable-speed) technology, you are in control of your heat. This allows you a hyper-efficient, money-saving way to maximize both your comfort and your wallet.

When you notice higher bills, varying room temperatures, strange noises from your furnace or a dry and dusty house, it’s probably time for you to replace your system. Climatic Heating and Cooling has got your back by providing free estimates. Don’t hesitate to call!
