SPRING CLEANING FOR SUMMER COOLING
Finally, it appears that Mother Nature has gotten the memo and is providing us with beautiful spring weather. If you are a native to Loudoun County, you know this is the shortest season in the area. Before we know if, the temperatures will rise and the humidity will be unbearable. KEEPING IT CLEAN – INDOORS
Sad, but true – dust happens whether you live on a ranch in Bluemont or a Colonial in Lansdowne, it is in your home! Use a vacuum to remove it from your duct grills. This will allow air to flow freely. You should also wipe your vents with a damp cloth to keep dust from being re-spread through your home.
KEEPING IT CLEAN – OUTDOORS
You may think your outdoor unit has debris magnets when you look at it! Leaves, unwanted flyers and stray trash seem to find their way to it. Simply rake it away. If you have landscaping surrounding your unit, be sure to cut it back. Ensure there are no other obstructions, especially around the fan.
